Privacy Policy & Terms of Use – A Legal Document
Every Atlas website includes a link to a Privacy Notice and Terms of Use in the footer. It is your responsibility to develop and publish both. Land O’Lakes does not provide these documents; we encourage you to work with your Privacy and/or Legal teams to create appropriate statements for posting.
Privacy notices help ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws in the states and countries where you do business and may help you avoid potential fines. They also build consumer trust by clearly informing users about the data you collect, process, and use. In addition, they typically provide consumers with a way to contact you with questions about how their data is handled.
Cookie Consent
The ATLAS feature includes an interactive overlay that requests visitors' consent to use cookies on the website. These cookies are utilized to enhance user experience and for analytics purposes. Once visitors click “OK,” the overlay will not appear again, and a cookie will be downloaded to track their consent for future visits.
Cookie Consent Properties
The message content, button text, and button color can be customized upon request. The default settings are as follows:
- Default Cookie Consent Message Content Text: “We use cookies on this site to enhance your user experience. By continuing to use this site, you consent to our cookies.”
- Default Cookie Consent Button Text: “OK”
- Default Cookie Consent Button Color: Grey
